Day 6 – CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP, UK Bans Breathplay, NYT FAILS, Lazy Sluggish Monday

I slept pretty good last night until I woke up to two things. Usually at 4AM I wake up take my morphine and go back to sleep til about 7 or 8, instead today I heard CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP CHOP and thought it was the new roommate cooking up a dish, no, it was my mate putting a pot of chili together remarkably early. Usually Mike is never up super early, the new mate is always up early but usually doesn’t do noisy things til after sun up, she has a very good etiquette about herself when working at night. The chili will be very good and be ready in time for lunch, considering food supply is thin I can see why a massive pot of fire house chili has to be put to the stove early. NO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS NOT INVITED THIS TIME (Unless you bring some city money to buy your dish of chili :P)

In the news today the UK parliament has moved to ban the sale possession and trade of any content involving breath control or breath play. This will severely affect the large market content houses particularly those based in the UK. This should likely have low to no impact on this library however UK citizens might find themselves locked out in addition certain states in the US might find themselves locked out of the website if a lockout is requested by a state official. We hope to avoid a lockout as our library is very diverse and intended to educate entertain and allow people to safely explore the depths of their darker imagination. As a group our entire house despises this move by the UK government finding it reprehensible in addition to their age play and other so called ‘laws’ on ‘indecent content’ pushing it to the darkweb and offline trading. This endangers people by moving evidence that can be reviewed by many (essentially public jury) to evidence that nobody saw. This is the equivalent of a total firearms ban but you didn’t take anyone’s firearms away because it’s impossible to take what already exists. Breathplay happens where the government never had and never will exert control. The bedroom or a place of kinky fun. The governments mere attempt to exert control is at best a scare tactic and at worst a ploy that will land a major content producer with a lawsuit and a legal record they never asked for, never voted for, and never supported the laws behind in the first place. The past was not exactly better than the future looks economically and socially but god damn, past legislators were much better people. Do you remember when SMALL GOVERNMENT REPUBLICANISM meant not getting involved in personal matters? Not shoving a Christianity driven package of law through the global systems by force using brainwashed herds of sheep. Instead of buying NetNanny and telling your kids to stay away from any naughty sites you have to hand over your entire personal information record and ID. Because some whacked out Texas Christian lawmaker thought “Won’t somebody think of the children”

Yeah, I will. Tell the damn children to turn the god damn computer, phone, and tablet off and go to a park, go play outside. Go grab some toys from the toy store, actually be kids for at least 13 years. COPPA literally said the internet isn’t made for people under 13. Instead of just outright saying that parents need to be accountable and websites need to not collect personal information or attempt to profile visitors the so called ‘republicans’ decided to forcibly engage every content producer and website as a ‘government checkpoint’ which we here refuse to do because our primary content isn’t adult and the sheer amount of websites still not compliant with these so called new laws makes prosecution nearly impossible and even if they do attempt it would generate a lot of bad blowback in the media when they’re putting a transgender severely disabled artist on the court stand over a fucking online art museum and story library with fetish content amongst the normal.

Put simply, these laws are built for one thing revenue. They don’t care whether it fucks over a creators entire budget to verify thousands of IDs for visitors who don’t pay for anything. These state lawmakers just want you using these vendors that their bills dictate because they hold stock in them or are getting kickbacks for collecting data, worse yet all it takes is one hack to break into an ID verifier system and now you’ve got a media circus going to town because the law meant to protect the kids just screwed fifty million adults over and cost $40 Billion in losses associated with bank account hacks and losses in cryptocurrency / market executions.

These laws aren’t protecting anyone, they aren’t protecting kids, they’re an active endangerment of adults on all angles. Producers, consumers, and even bystanders are endangered by laws like these. There is never a too late. SLAM THE PHONES IN WASHINGTON D.C AND TELL THEM TO REPEAL THESE LAWS. The Kids Online Safety Act, FOSTA SESTA, and striking at states with bad laws as well is a good idea. Hammer the phones until they repeal the outright dangerous laws they have written to the books.

In literal newspapers, New York Times has managed to turn what was going to be a 3 year contract into a 0 day contract with a full refund because their customer service “couldn’t find” the card or my account despite having charged it twice, delivered a paper twice and then suddenly stopped. And instead of fixing the problem they decide to just void the entire contract and refund me. Shows how strong their customer retention is… I’ve seen fridge magnets with better retention strength at the dollar store. I’ll just take my free Chicago Tribune from the library and call it a day. I give up on the newspaper industry. Their delivery and billing seems to be from the dark ages.

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT

ALL THAT BULLSHIT AND ITS NOT EVEN 10 IN THE MORNING >_<
